Studio Calendar:
- Bmore Strings offers lessons year-round during the school year September-May and also during the summer months June-August.
- Bmore Strings is closed for Thanksgiving Break 11/28/24-12/1/24, Winter Break 12/24/24-12/27/24, New Years Day, Martin Luther King Jr. Day, Spring Break 4/17/25-4/20/25, Memorial Day, Juneteenth, and Independence Day. Most studio holidays and breaks are listed on the Studio Calendar.
Booking Lessons:
- All lessons must be booked online at Fons.app through our billing and scheduling system “Fons.”
Lesson Attendance:
- Regular lesson attendance is required for students who are enrolled in weekly lessons. Excessive absences will result in termination of lesson subscriptions.
- Lessons canceled by your teacher will be rescheduled at a mutually agreeable time or a credit will be issued towards the following month’s tuition charge.
- To stop or withdraw from lessons, please notify the studio or fill-out a withdraw form prior to subscription renewals.
Canceling & Rescheduling Lessons:
- Bmore Strings has a 36 hour cancellation policy. It is the account holder’s responsibility to cancel and reschedule lessons through Fons prior to the 36 hour window or you will be charged the full lesson price. How to cancel and reschedule lessons in Fons. Canceled lessons should be rescheduled using 1-click booking in Fons.
Inclement Weather:
- In the event of inclement weather, students will be notified and lessons will be taught virtually during student’s typical lesson times on Google Meet. Inclement weather alerts are listed on our website banner and also on WBAL-TV 11.
Tuition & Billing:
- Lessons are paid for in advance at the start of each month based on the number of lesson days occurring per month. All lesson payments are billed on the 1st of the month automatically using Fons.
Studio Recitals:
- Bmore Strings organizes 1-2 studio recitals per year. Recitals are scheduled and announced 3 months in advance.
Violin & Viola Practicing:
- Parental involvement is recommended for younger students in supporting student’s weekly practice sessions. Older students should plan their own weekly practice sessions that meet their musical goals.
- Students should bring their instrument and music books to each lesson. Weekly practice charts will be written for students.
