How do I get started with lessons?
The first step to get started with lessons is scheduling a free Meet & Greet. Meet & Greets are an opportunity to meet your instructor, tour the studio space, and to discuss musical goals and interests. To get started just fill out our sign-up form or schedule a free Meet & Greet here. What type of lessons do you offer?
We offer individual, one-on-one lessons for violin, viola, cello, music theory, and music composition. We recently expanded to offer low strings, specifically cello lessons, and are very excited to offer them! Students can choose between recurring weekly 30, 45 or 60-minute lessons or flex lessons that fit their schedule.

Does Bmore Strings have a parking lot? Is parking free?
Bmore Strings has ample free parking for all Bmore Strings students, families, and guests in Meadow Mill’s parking lot. Park in Meadow Mill’s parking lot near the Main Entrance as Bmore Strings is most accessible using Meadow Mill’s Main Entrance.

What days and times are lessons available?
Bmore Strings offers 30, 45 and 60-minute lessons during the week Monday through Friday from 4PM-8PM, Saturdays from 11AM-3PM and on Sundays from 10AM-2PM. For more specific lesson availability email Bmore Strings at liz@bmorestrings.com, fill out our contact form, or free Meet & Greet here.
I can’t attend my scheduled lesson, what do I do?
Regular lesson attendance is highly encouraged for all students. Please notify your teacher of any absences prior to your scheduled lesson time. Students enrolled in weekly lessons receive 4 makeup lessons during the school-year September-May. Flexible scheduling is offered throughout the summer (June–August).
What happens during inclement weather?
Inclement weather alerts are listed on our website banner and also on WBAL-TV 11’s website: https://www.wbaltv.com/weather/closings. Students and parents will also be notified of weather-related closures through email and text message from the studio.
Does Bmore Strings offer trial lessons?
Bmore Strings offers free “Meet & Greets” for new students. You can schedule a complimentary “Meet & Greet” here.
How do I sign-up for lessons?

Is there a registration fee for signing up for lessons?
Registration is free! There is no charge for registering for lessons.
How do I book lessons?
Meet & Greets can be self-scheduled online here. Weekly or Flex Lessons can be scheduled by logging into the Student Portal or by emailing liz@bmorestrings.com.
What are your rates and how are lessons paid for?

Lessons are paid for in advance at the start of each month based on the number of lesson days occurring per month. All lesson payments are due on the 1st of the month, and invoices are emailed to account holders 7-10 days prior to the payment due date.
What performance opportunities are available for students?

I don’t own an instrument. Do you rent or sell violins, violas and cellos?
We don’t rent or sell musical instruments; however, we do have studio violins, violas, and cellos available for new students to use during their first lesson if they have not yet rented or purchased an instrument. We have several recommended instrument rental companies and local violin makers (luthiers). We can also measure students for the ideal instrument size.
What books and supplies do I need for lessons?
Your instructor will recommend music books and instrument supplies after the first lesson from the studio’s list of supplies.
How do I discontinue or withdraw from lessons?
To stop or withdraw from lessons, please notify the studio prior to lesson renewals.
